The Party Dress Project Boutique is a one-day sale of gently used short and long party dresses for girls in pre-teen, Junior and some women sizes. Each dress is sold for only $25 on a first come, first serve basis.

All proceeds will be donated to the teen depression support nonprofit Erika’s Lighthouse. The Party Dress Project is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. The Party Dress is also partnering with Bark 4 Care for this event.

Northbrook moms Stacy Simpson and Beth Hirshman and their teenaged children started the Party Dress Project last year. The Project involves the resale of donated dresses from bar/bat mitzvahs, confirmations, dance classes, graduations, dances, etc., with proceeds being donated to local charities the focus on girls. The hope is to see beautiful dresses being used again, to allow girls to add to their party wardrobes without spending a lot of money, and to benefit local teenage girls.

“Kids Helping Kids” Back-to-School Supply Drive
Through Sept. 30

Stopping by Northbrook Court in the next week? Why not pick some school supplies for needy kids and donate them right there?

Partnering with California Pizza Kitchen, Northbrook Court is hosting its first annual “Kids Helping Kids,” a back-to-school supply drive for local children in need of school essentials.

Items may be donated at the “Kids Helping Kids” kiosk in the Lord & Taylor Court with weekly collection pick-up by Youth Services. A wide variety of Northbrook Court retailers will be featuring back-to-school accessories and clothing items, allowing purchases to be made and donated on-site.

Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook is a nonprofit devoted to mental health, character development, and the physical well-being of children and families within the community.
