Kids Rank is hosting their third annual Hero Pack Drive to provide support to children whose parents are currently deployed.
The Hero Pack Drive collects small items to help a child feel more connected with a deployed parent, such as:
- Blank photo albums
- Mini scrapbook kits
- Journals
- Small art kits
- Stationary and stamps
- Crayons and markers
The donated items should be small enough to fit inside a backpack, new and gender neutral.
Kids Rank is dedicated to providing support to military children facing deployment and relocation by encouraging resilience through skill-building activities. Each child is awarded ribbons for their achievements, similar to the ribbons that their parents receive for military accomplishments.
Donations for the Hero Pack Drive are being accepted until March 17th at Central Lake YMCA and Northern Lake YMCA
