Quick and Easy: IWSE’s Warm Your Palate

MAD-Infant-welfare-societySupport the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston by attending their second annual Warm Your Palate fundraising event.

What: Local chefs will take guests on a culinary excursion to sample signature appetizers and desserts. Wine, beer and spirits will also be served, and there will be a live auction featuring a 5-night stay at the Radisson Blu Resort and Spa in St. Martin.

All proceeds from the event will benefit IWSE’s programs, providing high-quality early childhood education and family support services for teen parents and low-income families with young children in the city of Evanston and the surrounding communities. Tickets for the event cost $100.

When: Thursday, Feb. 28, 6-9 p.m.

Where: Now We’re Cookin’, 1601 Payne St. Unit C, Evanston

The Mission: The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston (IWSE) is a 100-year-old, highly respected nonprofit social service organization, which focuses on the needs of families who are living at risk with infants and toddlers. IWSE acts as an advocate, care-taker, and champion for children who live in poverty, who exhibit developmental delays, who live in situations of homelessness or domestic violence, or who are parented by teen parents through high-quality day care and early education services. They also offer supportive services and parenting support.
