We’ve all been there—another sleepless night flipping through TV channels, only to get sucked in by an enticing infomercial.
Suddenly you can’t live without the gadget being advertised on TV.
But surprisingly, some of these products do work, and they work well. These four infomercial beauty products will ease up your beauty routine.
Turbie Twist ($15 for a pack of two)
Many of us wrap our hair in a towel after getting out of the shower. The Turbie Twist does just that, but stays on your head and absorbs the water better than your regular towel would. Reviewers commented: “You won’t know what you’re missing until you try this product,” and, “It’s super lightweight, which makes it perfect for the gym or travel.”
Tip: Choose the microfiber version over the cotton one.
Strap Perfect ($5)
When you want to wear a racerback-style tank top or dress without seeing bra straps, this small plastic clip does the trick. Strap Perfect hides your bra straps by keeping them tucked behind your shirt with the added benefit of giving your breasts a little lift. You won’t have to worry about the hook coming undone either; it stayed in place during an entire day of wear.
Tip: You will have to lengthen your bra straps to the max in order for Strap Perfect to work.
Curl Secret ($50-100)
This curling tool gives hair curls and body so effortlessly that you can ditch your curling iron. Users who complained that their hair never held curls before noted that after using Curl Secret, their hair stayed curly for days. Its competitor, Air Curler, is a similar device but testers found that Curl Secret kept curls in place longer and worked on a variety of hair types.
Tip: Know that this curler is heavy and may take you some time to get the hang of it.
Blo and Go by Laurie Coleman ($30)
This is a stand for your hair dryer that enables you to have both hands free to style your hair. The holder suctions onto any flat surface and offers flexibility depending on the height of the person.
Tip: The suction strength wears down over time, so store it away when you’re not using it, or suction the stand onto your counter top instead of your mirror.
Many of these products are available at Ulta, Amazon, and Bed Bath & Beyond.
