A Music Note

If I had a dollar for every adult who said, “I just ask my kids to download music for me”—I would be a rich woman.

It’s the trend (or the curse) of the busy adult—have the kids do it for you. But do you really like the music they choose? Most of you say not really, but you settle. I say, why are you settling? Wouldn’t it be great to have a music list all your own? Your favorite oldies of course, plus new songs you’ve chosen on your own?! Wouldn’t it be great to have your best list ready for your party or your run? You can do it.

To get you started …

A new artist you should know:

Try Beady Eye (similar vibe = Oasis, Beatles)

A new album you must have:

Mission Bell by Amos Lee (similar vibe = James Taylor)

Shows you should see:

If you’re a guitar freak: Kaki King at SPACE, Friday, Mar 25  (Valslist has 6 tickets to give away! Visit www.valslist.com)

If you like Amos Lee above, he’s coming to Chicago on Saturday, March 26 at the Vic Theatre
