Your race fee will help support countless children just like this one:
“Destiny* (name has been changed) arrived at the Settlement one blustery Monday morning wearing a paper-thin jacket and gym shoes with no socks. That day, she received a coat and a pair of cozy boots to wear home. When we slipped the boots on her little feet, she whispered, ‘My toes feel so warm, I don’t want to ever take these off. Can I keep them?’ We told her, and the other grateful children and parents, that the clothes were gifts from generous people who cared and wanted to help keep kids warm until the summer arrives.
“Destiny was one of many children benefiting from Winterfest, a January event hosted in Libertyville by Dee and Tony Perry, to collect winter clothing and raise awareness about the Settlement.”
Make It Better is a proud media sponsor of Winterfest and the first annual For Kids 5K benefitting Northwestern Settlement. You too can make a difference in the life of a child by signing up for this inspiring race.
