Northwestern Settlement nurtures, educates, and inspires children, families and seniors in need, empowering them to take personal responsibility and attain self-sufficiency.
The Winnetka Board is one of five Chicagoland area boards supporting the Northwestern University Settlement House. The Settlement House has been in existence since the late 1800’s. It continues to provide excellent services to its neighborhood including a food pantry, head start program, Camp in the Woods, senior citizen services, etc.
It has also been instrumental in starting the Noble Street Charter School which is now the model for five additional charter schools in the area.
