The Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago gathered 1,250 guests together on Friday, Dec. 4th at the Hilton Chicago for their annual Spirit of St. Nicholas Ball. The event was chaired by Mary Anne and Al Moschner and raised more than $1.2 Million to benefit Catholic Charities’ Children’s Programs. Last year the programs served about 128,000 children in the city through their child development centers, after-school programs, and counseling services.
Notable guests included Most Reverend Blase J. Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, and Monsignor Michael M. Boland, President of Catholic Charities. Guests were greeted with carolers and cocktails and later served a four course dinner along with a night of dancing to music by the Ken Arlen Evolution Orchestra, a world-class 15-piece orchestra that features four singers and eleven professional musicians. Charitable sponsorships were made by Chair couple Al and Mary Ann Moschner, Arthur J. Gallagher and Co., Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Beth Filip, Mr. & Mrs. Charles W. Mulaney, Jr., Perry Family Foundation and Mr. & Mrs. James N. Perry, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Speicher, Wintrust Financial and Mr. & Mrs. Edward J. Wehmer.
