This fall, you’ll see new takes on beauty styles we’ve seen in the past seasons.
Think concentrated, rich colors, dewy skin and mod hairstyles. These are our top beauty trends you’ll want to try out immediately!
1. Jewel-Toned Eyes
A pop of rich color on lids is striking for fall and beautifully compliments a nude or light berry colored lip. Choose a shade like emerald or plum, and then brush onto the lid and into the crease, concentrating the most color into the crease. If you’re comfortable without it, skip the liner for this look. Layer mascara, lipstick and a bit of blush and you’re done!
2. Red Lips
This classic trend continues to be a favorite this fall. Anyone can wear red lipstick. Honestly. Paired with subtle eye makeup, the addition of red lipstick alone can take your look to another level. If you’re wary of wearing red, start out with a lip stain, which is less bold and easier to wear.

3. The New Metallic
Nicole Pearl of beauty website The Beauty Girl believes you’ll be seeing a new use of metallics this season. “Metallics are a recurring fall trend, but this season it’s not the typical silver and gold,” she says. “The shades are reminiscent of fall foliage, from bronzy oranges to rusty greens.”
4. Ponytails
Variations on the ponytail were all over the runways from Valentino to Balmain, with one of the most popular versions being the long banded ponytail. This ‘70s-inspired style is best for longer hair. Start by gathering hair into a high ponytail. Next, wrap clear hair bands at every one-inch section of the ponytail. Loosen and lightly tease the hair between the hair bands so it doesn’t look too tight.

5. ‘60s Revival
“The final season of ‘Mad Men’ may be approaching, but that era was in full effect on the runways,” Pearl says. “We saw ’60s-inspired hair and makeup in shows from Moschino to Saint Laurent.” To achieve this look, create a deep side part, and if you have bangs, sweep those to the side too. Tease hair loosely at the crown.
6. Luxe Lashes and Brightened Skin
If you’ve ever considered trying Latisse or RevitaLash, this is the season to give it a go. Long lashes are always in, but now we’re seeing a look that’s centered around standout lashes with fresh, glowing skin. Consider faux lashes or eyelash extensions. Don’t shy away from dusting a highlighter on cheekbones, brow bones and the bridge of your nose to create the dewy skin look. You can also use Vaseline on the brow bones and cheekbones to give the effect of “wet” skin.
