Lyric Opera of Chicago invited audiences to the Far East with its production of “The King and I” starring Tony Award-nominated actress Kate Baldwin and Broadway star Paolo Montalban as Anna and the King. The Lyric Women’s Board & Guild Board hosted “The King and I” celebration, which Make It Better was the media sponsor of, May 7. The event’s lead sponsor was Zurich Insurance.
The night included an elegant dinner, a spectacular performance and an onstage after party and raised more than $500,000 for Lyric Opera.

The Women’s Board and Make It Better also hosted a night of shopping at the Michigan Avenue Burberry, which raised $2,700.
