Fall is on the scene, but there’s no slowing down for outdoor fests.
This weekend, you’ve got your pick—from antiques in Lake Forest and Bloody Marys in Highwood to awesome indie crafts and oysters in the city. Get ready for a really busy weekend:
Renegade Craft Fair
Saturday, Sept. 7 & Sunday, Sept. 8
Wicker Park (Division Street, between Damen and Paulina), Chicago
If the indie vibe is more your style, this is THE craft fair to hit—until their December fair. Find really great wears and wares, food, drink and fun—up and down Division Street. My advice? Go early and grab a treat from Puffs of Doom before you stroll the stalls. Nom Nom.
Guinness Oyster Fest
Saturday, Sept. 7
Roscoe Village
Feeling frisky for something a little different? We’ve been to sausage fests, burger fests and beer fests—now here’s one for all the seafood-lovers out there. Head to Roscoe Village, enjoy a Guinness, swallow a few oysters, and enjoy a great roster of bands on tap for the day.
Highwood Bloody Mary Fest
Saturday, Sept. 7 & Sunday, Sept. 8
Highwood
And now for something to wash back those oysters with—head up north to Highwood for their kickoff to the fall festival season. Highwood’s Bloody Mary Fest is now two days, including the Bloody Mary Challenge, a fabulous 5K, great food, live entertainment and more.
Antiques and Treasures in the Field
Sunday, Sept. 8
Deerpath Middle School, Lake Forest
Support the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago when you shop this wildly popular antiquing event held each September in Lake Forest.
