River to Rooftop

Say goodbye to rooftop season with one more outdoor party. Start at City Winery at the Riverwalk, where there will be a New Orleans-style second line marching band, before heading to Cerise Rooftop at Virgin Hotels. Buy tickets and receive two complimentary drinks.

On weekends throughout October, Lincoln Park Zoo will celebrate the season with music, pumpkin carving, a Ferris wheel, corn maze, inflatable obstacle course, animal chats and more. The festival is free, but some rides require a ticket.

More than 130 artists will showcase paintings, sculptures, photography and more while Evanston restaurants and breweries (Boltwood, Smylie Brothers Brewing Co., Patisserie Coralie and more) showcase their best fare.
Carli Lloyd at The Book Stall
Meet Carli Lloyd, co-captain of the U.S. women’s national soccer team, at this book signing. Her book “When Nobody Was Watching: My Hard-Fought Journey to the Top of the Soccer World” was released Sept. 26. To enter the signing line, you must buy a copy of the book from The Book Stall.
