This weekend is all about shopping.
Start checking items off of your holiday gift list (or find a little something for yourself!) at a faire and a bazaar, or find something sparkly at a local jewelry studio.
Or, you can leave all of that shopping for another day and enjoy a night out with Stevie Wonder. You can also get into the holiday spirit with “A Christmas Carol,” which opens at Goodman Theatre this weekend.
Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life Performance
Stevie Wonder is in town for one night only, so don’t miss out on seeing this legend.
The Grove Arts & Craft Faire
It’s the last weekend of this faire, where you can find handmade items ranging from home accessories and jewelry to baked goods and seasonal decorations. You can also roam through the historic homes of The Grove. The Faire opens Thursday, Nov. 13.
“Garden of Eden” Exhibit Opening Party
Don’t miss this party for the newest series at Eve J. Alfillé, “Garden of Eden.” Guests will have a chance to win jewelry, tickets to the Joffrey Ballet or gift certificates for Chopping Block and Egea Spa.
“A Christmas Carol”
This holiday tradition is back at Goodman Theatre with new set elements and onstage surprises. The show runs through Dec. 28, but make sure you get tickets before they’re gone.
Illinois Holocaust Museum Annual Holiday Bazaar
Shop goods from local artisans as well as international wares. With jewelry, home accessories, books and one-of-a-kind Judaica, you’ll find something for everyone on your shopping list.
Bonus:
Bundle up and head out to Millennium Park—the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink opens Nov. 14!
