Block Museum of Art Winter 2015 Opening Day Celebration

The Block Museum’s latest exhibition, “Collecting Paradise: Buddhist Art of Kashmir and Its Legacies,” opens Jan. 13 and Robert Linrothe, Northwestern faculty member and curator, will speak about the exhibit.
Short Shakespeare! Macbeth

This performance of “Macbeth” is perfect for those age 10 and up because the tragedy will be shortened to 75 minutes. The cast will also stay for a Q&A session after the play before joining the audience in the lobby. This production runs through Feb. 14.
Evanston’s Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Throughout the weekend, the City of Evanston will celebrate the life and works of Martin Luther King Jr. The weekend begins with a “Day of Celebration Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr” and continues with “MLK Day Event with Insight Arts” and the “’11 Months’ Wrap Up Celebration.”
