Finding the perfect prom dress is an important part of the high school experience. The Glass Slipper Project is helping make all girls feel like Cinderella on their big day.
The Glass Slipper Project is a non-profit organization that collects new and almost-new formal dresses and accessories for juniors and seniors in Chicago area high schools. Using “boutiques”, set up each prom season and complete with volunteer personal shoppers, to distribute the gowns makes the process of choosing dresses special. Each girl can choose one dress, one pair of shoes, three pieces of jewelry, one purse and up to four pieces of makeup.
They have several drop off sites where people can donate these products, which will be opening February 1st. For more information on the Glass Slipper Project and volunteer opportunities, visit their website
