Flowers, jewelry, chocolate, massage certificates… the classic Mother’s Day gift bundle. None of those, however, beat brunch. The meandering lines and crowds around restaurants you witnessed your after year were not your imagination — Mother’s Day has consistently ranked as the most popular holiday for dining out. Things are different this year, but while you can’t book a bottomless Champagne party next to the green for you and mom, there are still plenty of restaurants throughout Marin offering special menus and items for pick up or delivery. Here are some of them.
Buckeye Roadhouse (Mill Valley)
Buckeye is making it easy to spoil Mom and every woman and is offering mimosas, margaritas, wine and flowers. Pre-orders start Tuesday May 5th at 3 p.m.
Bungalow 44 (Mill Valley)
Bungalow 44 is open for special hours between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. They are doing a brunch basket that includes Wise Sons Bagels, house-smoked salmon, fresh baked muffins and a mimosa kit for $100 (serves 4-6). They are also doing Lobster dinner for 2 that includes 2 whole cracked lobsters, butter potatoes, asparagus, buttermilk biscuits with honey butter, also $120.

Select from Gravity’s 3-course selections, additions and drinks. The restaurant partnered with Brother and Sisters Flower Shop and is offering hand-tied bouquets or vased centerpieces. $30/$55 respectively. They will be ready when you pick up dinner.
Guesthouse (Kentfield)
Look at that lobster! Take out menus are posted by 1:30 p.m. on their website every day. Call 415.419.5101 to order.
Hog Island Oyster Co. (Larkspur)
Hog Island Larkspur is open and offering four different Mother’s Day packages for take-out and delivery orders through ChowNow. You can also place delivery orders through DoorDash and Caviar.
Insalata’s (San Anselmo)
Insalata’s take out/deli will be open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Mother’s Day and will be serving some of the following: Grilled Salmon with Pistachio Tomato Relish, Grilled Yogurt Chicken, Kale Salad, Broccoli Salad, Pasta Marinara, Marco Polo Noodles, Assorted Cookies and Biscotti.
Iron Springs Pub & Brewery (Fairfax)
This Sunday, along with the regular menu, Chefs Alex & Miguel are putting together a Low Country Boil for Mother’s Day. There will be options of ordering for 2 or for 4 and these will all be sold as pre-orders.
Left Bank Brasserie (Larkspur)
Especially for mom, Left Bank is offering a 3-course meal for two with a salad, choice of main courses, side dish and dessert. The menu available Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10. Pre-orders placed with 24-hour advance notice will receive a complimentary half-dozen chocolate covered strawberries.
Nick’s Cove (Marshall)
Nick’s Cove is offering a limited, comforting meals to-go every day between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and they will also be offering some special Mother’s Day menu items May 8th-10th, including a compressed watermelon salad, a chicken pesto sandwich and a burrata baguette with prosciutto and truffle honey. In addition, they are offering a limited number of gorgeous bouquets of flowers for mom, grown on-site up in the Croft. These hand-picked bouquets are sure to sell out quickly, and may be ordered via the website.
Piazza D’Angelo (Mill Valley)
In addition to their daily takeout menu, Piazza D’Angelo will be offering 3 three family style meal options, and has extended its hours from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. for this Sunday only. Mother’s Day Family Style Additions include: Whole Roasted Chicken Family Meal (serves 4 for $55), Lasagna Primavera Family Meal (serves 4 for $50), and the Ossobuco Family Meal (serves 4 for $60). Add Andreola Dirupo Prosecco Superiore to any of the meals for $15 a bottle.
