Alzheimer’s Association Raises a Record-Breaking $640,000

This month, the Alzheimer’s Association — a 2026 Philanthropy Award winner — raised a record-breaking $640,000 with support from Make It Better!

The Power of Purple: A Reason to Hope Luncheon took place in Chicago earlier this month, raising funds for Alzheimer’s and dementia care, support, and research.

Make It Better staff were honored to witness Marty Wilke receive the Champion Award at the luncheon.

“I still credit Marty — and am so grateful — for our fabulous relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association,” says MIB Founder Susan B. Noyes.

As a sponsor of the event, Make It Better’s match at the $1,000 level generated $52,000 to support Alzheimer’s Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s or any other form of dementia.

And it’s not too late to add your support! Alzheimer’s Association is still accepting donations here.
