On March 23, the Chicago premiere of “Defiant Requiem: Verdi at Terezin” raised over $4.6 million to benefit the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago’s Holocaust Community Services program. 2,300 guests attended the concert drama at Symphony Center. The evening’s lead sponsors were the Crown Family and the Pritzker Family Philanthropic Fund. All proceeds from the evening benefitted Holocaust survivors in the Chicagoland area.
