Crushers Club: Sally Hazelgrove receives award from FBI Chicago

As a Philanthropy Award winnerCrushers Club wanted to provide Make It Better readers with an update on the Club and recent achievements.

The mission of the Crushers Club is to be the strongest alternative to gangs for young men in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. We arm young people with the support and skills they need to restore their lives and improve their neighborhood. Crushers Club is rooted in four ideals — respect, discipline, ownership, and love — that give our members a fighting chance. The Club uses the platforms of boxing and music to give young men an alternative to life on the streets.
