Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and Australian professional golfer Jason Day co-hosted the second annual Golf.Give.Gala presented by ALE Solutions May 20-21. The two-day event raised $1 million for the Michael Phelps Foundation and Jason and Ellie Day’s Brighter Days Foundation, as well as other St. Charles-area causes.
The festivities kicked off Sunday with a star-studded gala, complete with a private access red carpet reception. The evening continued with a program and auction at the historic Hotel Baker. Following the gala, guests were invited to a concert at Chicago’s Arcada Theatre with an invitation-only VIP after party following. Monday’s celebrity golf outing, at St. Charles Country Club, was a rain out. Activities continued indoors.
“Being able to come back together again, to be able to be back in St. Charles, is great,” Phelps said. “We’re able to come together for things that could change people’s lives, which could make a massive impact.”
