With more than 800 philanthropic and distinguished guests in attendance, the annual Heroes Breakfast is a celebration of spirit and community. Award presentations are made each year to Chicagoland’s finest heroes in the following categories: Blood Services Hero, Community Impact Hero, Disaster Services Hero, Emergency Medical Assistance Hero, Firefighter Hero, Global Citizenship Hero, Good Samaritan Hero, Law Enforcement Hero, Military Hero, Nurse Hero, and Youth Hero.
Each year, we honor these individuals and groups for their acts of great bravery, dedication, and service to the community.
“The Heroes Breakfast is a chance to shine light on the extraordinary people right here in our own communities,” says Celena Roldán, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Chicago & Northern Illinois. “We are so proud to give this recognition and lift up our heroes each year; it’s an event that you can’t help but leave feeling completely inspired.”
Hero honorees will be selected in the 11 community service categories. They are chosen by an independent committee of leaders in the business and civic community.
