The Chicago Sky is a professional women’s basketball team and is part of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The WNBA is the longest running female professional sports league in the world. Founded in 2005, the Chicago Sky became the first independently owned WNBA team in the country. Principal Owner Michael Alter is a Chicago native and president of the Alter Group, one of the country’s largest private commercial real estate development companies. Alter is also the founder and president of City Year Chicago.
As one of six teams that compete in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference, the Chicago Sky play their home games at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The regular season runs from May to September, with the playoffs concluding by the end of September.
The Sky clinched the first playoff berth in team history on Aug. 23, 2013, and has since made four consecutive playoff appearances including its WNBA Finals debut on Sept. 3, 2014. The Sky’s roster features some of the WNBA’s top talent including back-to-back Sixth Woman of the Year Allie Quigley, WNBA All-Star and two-time NCAA champion Stefanie Dolson, and seven-time All-Star Cappie Pondexter. In addition to the team’s top tier athletes, Amber Stocks joins the team this season as first-time head coach and general manager.

Individual lower bowl tickets to see the Sky soar start as low as $18 per game and groups of 10 or more can save up to $9 per ticket. The Sky provide opportunities for your group to get in on the game with many on-court fan experiences. Experiences include: participating as a co-captain, high-fiving the team as they run onto the court and receiving a ball from a Sky player during team introductions. The fun doesn’t stop there; groups can showcase their talents on the Sky court by performing at halftime or singing the National Anthem.
