The holidays are my favorite time of the year. It’s a time to reflect, to be grateful, and to celebrate. We have been entrusted to design, build, and remodel homes for many families in our community to celebrate this special time. We understand the importance of the family traditions that are made and special moments celebrated in the homes we design, build, and remodel and are grateful for the opportunity to create something special for our clients.
We demonstrate our gratefulness with our ongoing contributions to the communities in which we work. Our design studio in Wilmette was intentionally designed to hold events for local charities, schools, or community organizations. We created an organic rooftop garden to donate to local food pantries, meeting spaces reserved for community groups, an art gallery to display local artists from the North Shore Art League, and a 14-foot TV for educational presentations. In the past year, we have been fortunate to host Northwestern Settlement, McKenzie PTA, Central School PTA, National Charity League, St. Joseph School, Trinity Church, North Shore Art League, the Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce, the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce, Rose Hall Montessori School, The Alliance for Early Childhood, and Wilmette Historical Museum.
Our new studio is an insight to our firm. It speaks to our core values and how we work with our clients. Built to be flexible and accommodating, almost everything in the space is moveable in order to be the right size for any activity. Luxury spaces were built economically by using creativity and understanding the nature of materials. We installed wide plank floors using a lower grade of wood with shorter lengths, which allows the wood to show more character and help hide wear and tear from daily use. We used durable surfaces like granite without the expense normally associated because we used remnants. Inexpensive tile was installed next to a small section of luxurious wallpaper, understanding that the walls are closer to your visual and touch senses than the floor. Everything was built to be durable, beautiful, and value driven. We created every space so it felt intimate, comfortable, bright, and ready for its users.
The naturally bright rooms, beautiful gardens, comfortable spaces and the latest in technology fosters an environment of relaxed creativity. We want our clients to enjoy the process and be comfortable knowing that we are there to serve them. It is truly an honor and we never forget it. Our homes are better because we have created a space designed for inspiration. Our clients benefit from our inspired employees. We believe the quality of the space where creativity occurs has a direct correlation with the experience and final product our clients receive.
The team at A. Perry Homes is grateful to our clients for their patronage, the raving fans who support our mission, the community who has embraced our vision, the many organizations who have recognized us for our efforts, the many craftsmen who work to build our creations, our vendors who provide our clients with the best customer service, our families for believing in us, and finally, our competition who keeps us working hard so we remain the most respected builder in our community. We wish all a happy holiday season.
Testimonials
- “Here’s a local Wilmette business that really cares about giving back to our community. A. Perry Homes is known for occasionally hosting nonprofit events in their amazing showroom — a two-story masterpiece that includes a kitchen area with large video board on the first floor and offices with two large outdoor patios on the second floor. One walk through their well designed, modern space and it’s easy to see the quality, design sense, and attention to detail that they put into their architecture and construction projects.” —Laura Templin, who hosted her National Charity League (NCL) event at A. Perry Homes
- “What wonderful people to work with! I want to sincerely thank A. Perry for generously giving of their beautiful space this past weekend for our local elementary school’s annual fundraiser. We had over 200 people attend and it was a huge success. Everyone commented on how gorgeous, clever and interesting the space was and they were grateful that, because of the donation, more of the ticket price they paid went right back to the school instead of on a rental fee. Hillary and Tony were wonderful to work with and selflessly gave of their time on multiple occasions to meet with us and give us ideas and, day of, really went into work mode to ensure everything went smoothly. What an asset A. Perry Homes is to our community!” —Casey Brown, who hosted the McKenzie School’s Parent Teacher Party
- “We are so lucky to have a business as community-minded as A. Perry Homes in downtown Wilmette! They generously opened their beautiful second floor showroom to our preschool for our annual fall community building event. Despite the below 40 degree temps, we used both the indoor and outdoor space, heated with amazing heaters and a gorgeous gas fire pit. All our guests loved the space, which highlights the quality of A. Perry Homes design and craftsmanship. Additionally, for those of us planning the event, Anthony was so helpful, kind and accommodating. We are very grateful to them for their commitment to local community organizations like ours. Thank you A. Perry Homes! I know that many of us left with visions of an A. Perry Homes remodel in our heads!” —Sarah Holcomb, who hosted the Trinity Preschool community building event
