Know a bride who could use a wedding dress? We thought so. It’s no secret wedding planning (usually) takes months of serious shopping and spending, from venues to décor to that very special dress. Julie Mersine Romeli, owner of Mira Couture, is familiar with the entire affair, having been in the bridal business since 2008. While she’s seen many beautiful gowns come and go, she has also seen several remain unworn. That’s when she knew she had an opportunity to give back.
Mira Couture is donating a sample dress to a bride in need in the month of May. Applicants may submit their own stories or be nominated by family and friends. A winner will be drawn and announced on May 1 — so apply this week! The winning bride will be treated to tea at the Drake on May 15, and then given a private shopping experience at the store on May 16.
Stories should be submitted here. Brides should be sample size (10 or smaller) and approximately 5’10” or shorter in heels. Please direct any inquiries to Mira Couture.
