More than 500 people came out to the annual Camp Out For Kids fundraiser event at River North hotspot Fremont on Dec. 1. Guests, including Camp Out For Kids founder Ashley Proctor, enjoyed cocktails and small bites and bid on fabulous auction items like a trip to Costa Rica, a Montana lodge getaway and a stay at the luxurious Chicago Athletic Association. An indoor campsite allowed guests to make delicious s’mores.
Nearly $300,000 was raised for the organization, which “gives children in undeserved communities the experience of summer camp.” Camp Out For Kids has raised $1,100,000 to date, and the proceeds from its annual fundraiser have helped provide kids the opportunity to attend camp since 2008.
The event was sponsored by Antunovich Associates, Core Spaces, EdR Collegiate Housing, eSutures.com, Evans Construction, The Hebson Team, Lakeside Bank, LG Construction + Development, Myefski Architects, Roberts McGivney Zagotta, Shorewood Development Group and TSB Capital Advisors.
