From March 3-5, Northwestern University Dance Marathon raised $1.25 million for Gigi’s Playhouse, an organization that helps improve the lives of those with Down syndrome. A whopping 1,500 undergraduate students danced for 30 hours, and the event featured a video greeting by GiGi Gianni, the daughter of Gigi’s Playhouse Founder Nancy Gianni. In addition to dancing, the event included a children’s activity fair with paper hats.
