The Ravinia District Food Truck Thursdays kicked off June 1 and will run through Sept. 14. Outstanding live music will be playing while friends and neighbors enjoy delicious food and drinks served from an amazing variety of food trucks on Dean Avenue and in Jens Jensen Park, near the Ravinia Metra Station in Highland Park. Every Thursday the fun will start at 4:30 p.m. and end at sundown. Free parking is available.
Participating food trucks offer a diverse array of foods from marvelous establishments such as Louis B. Fresh, Da Lobsta, Yum Dum, Mike’s Revenge, Loop Juice, Beaver’s Coffee and Donuts, La Cocinita, Sausage Fest, Wheely’s Café and many more. The excitement and celebration continues as craft beer, wine and cocktails are served by the Ravinia Brewery and Abigail’s in Jens Jensen Park.
While taking delight in the food and refreshments, talented and skilled musicians such as Elijah Aaron, Jared Rabin, Ponytown String Band, Ravinia Ramblers, Off The Wagon and Ben Tatar and the Tatar Tots will provide exceptional live entertainment.
In addition to the food and entertainment, the public is also invited to revel in and shop at the two fashion trucks: North and Hudson and Deliciously Shoes. North and Hudson’s fashions may be customized by color and length.
Chair of the Ravinia Business District Property Owners Association and Vice President at Highland Park Bank & Trust Katie Wiswald says that Jens Jensen Park is the perfect setting for the Ravinia District Food Truck Thursdays to take place and support local businesses.
“We are excited to bring people out this summer for Food Truck Thursdays to dine and listen to music in the beautiful Ravinia District,” Wiswald says.
The Ravinia District Food Truck Thursdays are operated by Bensidoun USA, Inc. Live performances are kindly sponsored by Highland Park Community Foundation, Life Rhythms and the Ravinia District Special Service Area 17 property owners.
