The Chicago Zoological Societybegan with the opening of the Brookfield Zoo over 80 years ago. Since then, it has established itself as a leader in the field of animal care and wilderness conservation.
The society’s Women’s Board hosted their 34th annual Whirl, named the Wild Wild Whirl in honor of the Hamill Family Wild Encounters, an exhibit set to open in July of summer 2015. This exhibit will take zoo patrons beyond just watching- they will be able to do some hands-on learning through petting and feeding different animals.
