Ravinia Festival is back for their 2023 season with more than 100 concerts including John Legend, Brandi Carlile, Charlie Puth and Carrie Underwood. Running from June 6 through Sept. 10, concerts range from rock/pop, R&B, classical, jazz, and country, to movies with live orchestra, Fiesta Ravinia, Breaking Barriers Festival and more.
“Ravinia’s 2023 season has something for everyone,” said Jeffrey P. Haydon, Ravinia’s President and CEO. “From shining a spotlight on women composers across multiple genres to bringing the best in pop, rock, jazz, and classical to our varied stages, Ravinia’s summer offerings reflect the wide-ranging musical tastes of Chicago and beyond. Whether you’re attending for the first or fiftieth time, a concert here is a special experience and one we hope our audiences will treasure.”
Breaking Barriers Festival, curated by Chief Conductor Marin Alsop, is back for its second year, taking place July 21–23. Focusing on women composers, the festival will have panel discussions, roundtables, a composer workshop, and more, presented in collaboration with New Music USA and The Chicago Network.
