Winnetka Music Festival

Some of the country’s top up-and-coming artists will perform at this North Shore festival, which features two main stages, a family stage, an acoustic cafe (new this year), food trucks, drinks, and more. This year’s lineup includes Moon Taxi, Dorothy, Spencer Ludwig, and John Splithoff.
Chi-Soul Fest

This Navy Pier event will take place for the second year in honor of African-American Music Appreciation Month with more than 30 acts.
Country LakeShake

For the fifth year, this festival will bring some of country music’s biggest acts, including Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Keith Urban, and Luke Bryan, to Northerly Island. Chicago-area native Elizabeth Lyons will also perform on Sunday at the Dish Presents Next From Nashville Stage.
Strawberry Fest

Long Grove
This annual festival in historic Long Grove will of course feature strawberry food, drinks, and desserts, but it will also include a strawberry pie-eating contest, carnival, live music, and family activities.

Breweries and distilleries like Dovetail Brewery, Half Acre Beer Company, KOVAL Distillery, and Smylie Brothers Brewing Co. will showcase the best of “Malt Row” at this annual festival also featuring food, live music, and artists.

- The Book Stall in Winnetka will host Scholastic’s Read-A-Palooza Summer Reading Celebration on June 22 with giveaways, crafts, and an appearance by both Clifford the Big Red Dog and Dav Pilkey‘s Dogman. You can also bring a new or gently used book for Bernie’s Book Bank.
