What new developments or trends are you most excited about in your industry right now?
“The automotive landscape has seen a significant shift over the past two years. Online car sales have significantly increased giving buyers more options. We have seen the birth of a truly hybrid buying experience where the lines between the in store and online purchase process are blurred. Today’s customer has changed and so has our showroom. We are committed to helping customers in both arenas. With the introduction of Mercedes all electric EQS, we have welcomed lots of customers in for test drives to get to know their luxury options firsthand.

Michael’s Top Service Picks
Fine Dining: Pomeroy
844 Spruce, Winnetka
This is my new favorite on the Northshore and a big part of the new dining renaissance in Winnetka. My pick last year was Sophia’s Steak, but this newcomer has stolen my heart. We love sitting at the bar and meeting friends for a glass of wine or dinner with our favorite bartender. I am a big fan!
Wellness: Body of Wisdom Yoga
I have been practicing yoga with Mia Cutler from Body of Wisdom Yoga for several years now. She launched an online yoga practice during the pandemic for 50+ yogis by 50+ yogis. After watching both her online offerings grow and her name change, she is still my go to yoga instructor in person and online. Mia is a real professional that has helped my flexibility and focus grow exponentially.
Casual Dining: Happ Inn
305 N Happ Rd., Northfield
Carlos is a longtime friend and terrific operator. His lunchtime menu is completely reliable, and his staff is always welcoming. We love the salmon salad – it is a healthy lunch item for me that I don’t feel guilty for ordering at least once a week to my office. I highly recommend dining in the restaurant as the local feel is classic and reliable.
Favorite Charity: A Safe Place
A Safe Place has been exactly that for thousands of women in Chicagoland. Their continued commitment to the women they serve is most admirable and the charity continues the focus to help women in crisis before, during and now after the pandemic era. I have been on the board for over a decade and our mission is ever increasing with the new Supreme Court decision that will undoubtedly affect the women that we serve.
Best Golf Instruction: Louis Sauer Golf
600 Waukegan Rd. #107, Northbrook
I have been working with Louis Sauer on my golf swing for many years. He is a competent and powerful instructor who has taken me out of my comfort zone and taught me things I didn’t know I needed and could not have done alone. I enjoy going to his facility to focus and get instruction and get lost in the supportive environment that he has created.
