The city is welcoming back the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 from 12-1 pm. The reimagined solo show will take place along the Lakefront between Oak Street and Fullerton Ave. If you want a more unique experience, book a dining cruise with City Cruises Chicago for spectacular and unobstructed views.

All Weekend: Van Gogh for All

Designed by Highland Park’s Dolores Kohl Education Foundation, the “Van Gogh for All” exhibit is an interactive experience that allows you to literally step into Vincent Van Gogh’s art. Now at a new location on the Mag Mile at the corner of Michigan and Wacker, the exhibit will be open to the public seven days a week through September 26. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Grab your tickets at Van Gogh for All.

August 21: The Beach Boys at Ravinia

North America’s oldest music festival hosts The Beach Boys Saturday, August 21 at 7:30 pm. Their set will include a special guest, Full House star John Stamos (aka Uncle Jessie). The weather looks perfect, so head to Ravinia’s website to grab your tickets for this fun filled evening!

Grab your blanket, snacks and lawn chair, and head to Twiggs Park in Evanston for a showing of Queen of Katwe, a true story of hope, dreams & success. August 22: The Forge: Lemont Quarries Art Walk

In for a little road trip this weekend? The Forge: Lemont Quarries, an open air adventure park, is a quick drive from the city (22 miles Southwest of downtown). This Sunday they are hosting an Art Walk from 10 am – 4 pm, that includes live music, an interactive “Arts in Motion” path, improve performances, dance groups and more.
