Darling Deerfield

Founded in 1903, Deerfield covers about 7 square miles, but in those 7 miles there’s something to please every interest.

From kid-friendly restaurants and one-of-a-kind boutiques to an awesome basketball facility, you’ll never find yourself bored in this little town.

Kevin’s Place
You can’t beat the warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere at KP. Kevin, the self-proclaimed “Mr. Deerfield,” stops by and jokes with every table and kids go bananas over the Mickey Mouse pancakes and milkshakes topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Deerfields Bakery
You simply cannot go to Deerfield without hitting up this classic bakery, filled with the best cookies, cakes and treats in town!

Upper Crust Bagels
The assortment of gourmet cupcakes, pastries and freshly baked bread at Deerfields Bakery had our mouths watering. We’re fans of the carrot cake and red velvet cupcakes. Looking for something less sweet? Try the selection of homemade bagels and freshly whipped cream cheese at Upper Crust Bagels, just down the road.

Deerfield Square
Southwest corner of Deerfield and Waukegan Roads
There’s a shop for everyone at Deerfield Square, from kid-friendly boutiques to stores that carry high-end denim and everything in between.

Deerspring Pool
Deerspring Pool is the perfect place to bring the kids on a hot summer’s day. The splash pad and waterslides will keep the kids occupied while you soak up some rays.

Joy of the Game
Joy of the Game draws basketball players from all over the Chicagoland area. They have leagues, summer camps and skill training in their 49,000-square-foot facility. Owner and Deerfield resident Josh Carl uses basketball to teach kids valuable life lessons on and off the court.
