“Wearing sunscreen every day is one of the most significant things that we can all do to prevent aging,” says True Botanicals founder Hillary Peterson. And using a foundation or moisturizer with SPF means one less step in your beauty routine. Another fantastic foundation option is Philosophy Miracle Worker Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 30, which comes in a variety of shades and is known to help improve radiance and tone.
5. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer Broad Spectrum with SPF 35, $11
“My preferred line of defense in the sun is IS Clinical Extreme Protect SPF 30 ($68),” says Dr. Tahl Humes, founder of Vitahl Medical Aesthetics. “Patients benefit from the product’s sun protection and antioxidants.” For a favorite drug store moisturizer with sun block, Humes recommends Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer Broad Spectrum with SPF 35. “This lightweight product gives you adequate sun protection and oil-free all-day moisture with a drugstore price.”
6. Lucrece Tinted Clear Zinc Solar Protection SPF 30
Lucrece isn’t a mainstream label, but its Tinted Clear Zinc Solar Protection SPF 30 blends beautifully and has just enough color to make you look like you have a natural tan. A little bit goes a long way, especially when you mix this with your regular moisturizer.
7. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, $44
Glenview dermatologist Dr. Jordan Carqueville of The Skin Care Center favors Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer because it’s light, contains broad-spectrum SPF, and comes in natural shades. It’s also non-comedogenic, which is something to consider as some moisturizers cause milia more than others.
8. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30, $45
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is available in many shades, so you can easily find the perfect match for your skin tone. Although it’s terrific for all skin types, because it’s oil-free, it’s particularly helpful for those with oily skin. NARS Pure Radiant has also been known to help reduce the appearance of discoloration and dark spots or acne scars.
