Glenview and Northbrook devotees of The Dailey Method no longer have to trek to Kenilworth for their favorite classes.
Owners Leanne Kurtzweil and Katy Kerr are bringing a new Northbrook location to Willow Festival, opening August 15. Their new location boasts a 2,800-square-foot, first-floor space right across the way from Whole Foods Market.
The Dailey Method provides a challenging 1-hour fitness class consisting of ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching, and orthopedic exercises in an encouraging class environment.
The schedule will include Principles, Mixed and Interval level classes, all of which maintain the commitment to working on proper body alignment, helping to rehabilitate and prevent long-term injuries. This will also be the first Dailey Method studio in the world to offer Dailey Cycle—a brand new concept that will incorporate high-energy, low-impact bike work with traditional Dailey Method strengthening and lengthening work.
“Since being a part of this fitness community, clients consistently tell us the positive impact both our challenging classes and encouraging studio environment has had on their lives,” Kurtzweil says. “Knowing we empower women to change not just their bodies, but their lives, has inspired us to further expand on the North Shore.”
Need a babysitter? Childcare is available Mondays through Saturdays during 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. classes for a small fee.
