Who Won the First Democratic Presidential Debate?

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, five presidential hopefuls from the Democratic Party gathered at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino to debate for the first time. Candidates present were former Sec. of State Hilary ClintonCNN’s Anderson Cooper moderated the debate. CNN’s Dana Bash and CNN en Español’s Juan Carlos López also asked questions, while Don Lemon asked questions that the public had submitted via Facebook.

Issues discussed included gun control, economic inequality, the environment, Wall Street reform, immigration and ISIS, among others.

Perhaps the most memorable quote of the night came from Sanders when he referenced the media’s hype over Clinton’s private email server saying, ”Let me say something that may not be great politics, but I think the secretary is right, and that is that the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails.”
