‘Frozen’ the Disney Musical Is Coming to Chicago

Although Chicagoans are ready to be released from Elsa’s icy grip for the winter, fans of Disney’s Frozen will want to mark their calendars for October 2020 when the hit Broadway musical arrives on stage at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph).

The 11-week Chicago engagement (Oct. 21, 2020–Jan. 3, 2021) will be the first national touring production of the Tony Award–nominated stage musical, which boasts an award-winning creative team that includes Michael Grandage (director), Rob Ashford (choreographer), and Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (music & lyrics).

Fans will recognize their favorite songs from the Oscar®-winning film plus a dozen new numbers written for the musical, which is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions.

Although it’s now been more than five years since the original blockbuster film took the world by storm, Frozen fever is set to return in full force with the release of Frozen 2 on Nov. 22, 2019. If the popularity of the sequel’s teaser trailer is any indication (in its first 24 hours it was viewed 116.4 million times, the most ever for an animated film), you may want to line up for your tickets to the musical now.

Tickets for groups of 10 or more can be purchased now by calling 312-977-1710 or by emailing GroupSales@BroadwayInChicago.com. Individual tickets will go on sale this spring. You can sign up for advance ticket updates at FrozentheMusical.com/Tour.
