Enjoy an afternoon exploring some of Wilmette’s most beautiful green homes.EcoBuild Tour

Bring your bike and head over to the Wilmette Historical Museum on Saturday, June 16 to take part in the first ever EcoBuild Architectural Bike Tour, hosted by the Wilmette Historical Society. There you can pick up a map of the homes, which will double as your ticket. Each of the eight homes on display exemplifies green architecture in some way, whether it is solar panels or synthetic lawns. While you’re on the tour, learn more about easy and affordable steps that you can take to make your home greener. At each home there will be green design and construction experts to act as your guides.

The Wilmette Historical Museum was established in 1951 to share Wilmette’s history through a variety of programs and exhibitions. The Museum is run by the Wilmette Historical Society and the Village of Wilmette. The Wilmette Historical Society is a volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and promoting local history in Wilmette.
