Melissa Bean is Vice Chairman for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Chairman of the Midwest. As such, she serves as the senior executive across all lines of business and functional areas in the Midwest region. She partners closely with senior clients, community leaders, and JPMorgan Chase employees with a primary focus on client and talent development.
Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase & Co., Bean served as President and CEO of the Executives’ Club of Chicago, which followed her three terms as a Member of the U.S. Congress from 2005 to 2011. She represented Illinois’ 8th District and was an active leader on the House Financial Services and Small Business Committees.
Earlier in her career, Bean spent almost 20 years in the high tech industry. After managing sales organizations at Dataflex, SynOptics, Motorola/UDS, and Arrow Electronics, she founded SRI, a consulting firm providing market segmentation and channel optimization strategies to Fortune 1000 high tech clients.
Committed to creating career pathways for community college graduates, she serves as Vice Chair of the board for One Million Degrees. Bean is also on the boards of World Business Chicago, Junior Achievement, and the Executives’ Club of Chicago.
