Community Celebrations: Northwestern's Sir Fraser Stoddart Receives Nobel Prize in Chemistry

On Oct. 5, 2016, Sir Fraser Stoddart, Board of Trustees Professor of Chemistry at Northwestern University’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Jean-Pierre Sauvage (University of Strasbourg, France) and Bernard L. Feringa (University of Groningen, the Netherlands). According to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences’ press release, the award was given “for their design and production of molecular machines.” Learn more at nobelprize.org.
