Do you know a woman who is making a positive impact on her community? Nominate her for the YWCA Lake County Women of Achievement Award.
The 34th Annual Women of Achievement Awards, being held on June 8th, to recognize outstanding women who live or work in the Chicagoland area. Nominations are being accepted through March 20th for awards in four categories:
- Dr. Dorothy I. Height Racial Justice Award – Given to women who are dedicated to racial justice and equality and who are exceptional role models in their community.
- Business – Women who are making significant contributions in their field and mentoring other women in business sectors.
- Community Leader – Women who are improving the quality of life in their communities through business, government, public service, politics and community action.
- Healthcare – Women who are making advances in the field of healthcare, especially in women’s health or providing affordable healthcare for the under-insured.
