The Red Cross had to cancel its 18th annual Heroes Breakfast fundraiser, at which Jahmal and 13 other everyday heroes were to be honored, due to COVID-19.  But, hopefully, by releasing his story online instead, it ultimately will have even greater impact — for Jahmal, the Red Cross and the world.

Let this 2-minute video inspire you to action. What is one simple thing you can do to help your block, your neighborhood or your city?

We also hope it will inspire you to donate towards the Red Cross where your impactful gift will be doubled and will support the Red Cross on behalf of a hero at Thank you to our generous matching donors who made this possible, the Edwardson Family Foundation, Nick and Susan Noyes and Better.

Better is honored to be a Signature Sponsor of the Heroes Breakfast and to launch the social network campaign for all 11 hero videos in collaboration with the Red Cross, event sponsors including Edwardson Family Foundation, Kirkland & Ellis, CSX, KPMG, and Walgreens, and CBS Chicago.
