In its ongoing effort to support arts, music, and culture, Celebrate Highwood is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Jazzed Up Dining & Classical Cocktails Casino Night to benefit Midwest Young Artists Conservatory (MYAC) student scholarships and Celebrate Highwood’s operating fund, both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Tickets are available in advance for $75, which include a $5 chip for the first bet, and can be purchased through the Celebrate Highwood website. The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 6:30-10 p.m. at MYAC (878 Lyster Road, Highwood).
“Jazzed Up Dining & Classical Cocktails is the kick-off to the Celebrate Highwood 2019 fundraising season, and this year we wanted to kick it up a notch with the addition of a casino night,” explains Eric Falberg, president of Celebrate Highwood and Highwood alderman. “This is a more intimate event for Celebrate Highwood supporters. The past two events have raised over $11,000 for MYAC and we hope the addition of a casino will up the ante for the Celebrate Highwood operating fund as well, so we can keep our events running.”
Attendees can test their luck at craps, blackjack, roulette, and Texas hold’em while enjoying live jazz, classical, and big band musical performances by MYAC students throughout the evening. Guests will also enjoy appetizers, dinner, and dessert buffets from the North Shore’s finest restaurants, as well as an open bar and a silent auction.
“The 25 year old Midwest Young Artists Conservatory currently serves 1,000 students in 74 Chicagoland communities and is honored to have been selected as a beneficiary of this event,” says Allan Dennis, founder and president of MYAC. “A portion of proceeds raised at Jazzed Up Dining & Classical Cocktails Casino Night will be given to talented students admitted to our programs if they cannot afford the tuition.”
This event is made possible by the generous donations from local restaurants and sponsorship from amazing supporters including Brian Jessen at Guaranteed Rate, Inc. Deerfield; Equinox; Balletto Vineyards; Beermicuous; Razny Jewelers; Fields Alfa Romeo; and M Brad Slavin Farmers Insurance.
