Be a Hero and Help Raise Critical Funds for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research

In the spirit of hope and promise, the PNOC Foundation launches the #ShowMeYourSuperhero campaign to raise awareness and funds for critical research to eradicate pediatric brain cancer, the deadliest childhood cancer for May’s National Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Kicking off May 1st, the PNOC Foundation asks individuals to take part in the campaign posting a photo on social media of themselves, their children, grandchildren, or beloved pets dressed up as superheroes, with the hashtags #ShowMeYourSuperhero #PNOCfoundation #BrainTumorAwarenessMonth. Individuals who take part will be asked to nominate three friends by tagging them in their social post to encourage them to participate in the campaign meant to acknowledge superhero spirit, share in a smile, raise awareness and give back. At the end of the campaign, Marin Magazine will choose one Marin family who participated in the #ShowMeYourSuperhero campaign to feature on the Marin Magazine social channels tagging the family in their post, thanking them for participating in the campaign!

The PNOC Foundation is a Marin based non profit supporting research and clinical trials through a network of the leading children’s hospitals across the world. Our doctors are disruptors and thoughtful innovators who take on highly ambitious, high-yield research to end pediatric brain cancer. The PNOC team comprises more than 225 top pediatric brain tumor specialists. PNOC is leading the research in pediatric brain tumors through their research, uncovering individualized treatments achieved through a collaborative approach to research, and cutting edge treatments to advance the outcome in treatment and therapies for pediatric brain tumor patients. Founded by a San Anselmo based family Allyn and Bruce Campbell, who’s son George was diagnosed at the age of 6 years old and now a healthy teenager, PNOC Foundation was established to support a transformative initiative by San Rafael resident and preeminent UCSF neurologist Dr. Michael Prados, and neuro-oncologist Dr. Sabine Mueller.

The PNOC Foundation leads fundraising efforts to support the urgent work of the PNOC scientific consortia so our doctors can do what they do best: treat patients and pioneer new research. Whether you are together or apart, have some fun with your friends and family, #ShowMeYourSuperhero for a great cause!
