SCC programs support our Mission through our values: 1 Delivering quality, professional services to our community which are compassionate and confidential 2 Strengthening the communities we serve 3 Treating the whole individual: mind, body and spirit 4 Respecting diversity and all expressions of faith 5 Providing a commitment to fiscal responsibility while offering services to those with limited resources 6 Offering a supportive, collegial work environment. We directly serve our communities, Cook and Lake Co, with 12 locations. Counseling is provided to families, individuals, couples and children covering depression, family conflict, stress and anxiety, parenting issues, child and adolescent development, marital counseling as well as emotional and spiritual growth. Our partnership with area congregations provides a safe and confidential environment for counseling. SCC pays a nominal rent for our Headquarters in Winnetka and the other locations are completely underwritten. These strong ties reduce our administrative costs and allow funds to directly serve those in need. In addition to our Silent Samaritan Women’s subsidy program, we offer a men’s subsidy program, Wellspring and a subsidy for sexual abuse victims. Together, with our donors and counselors, we are improving lives in our community, one individual at a time.
