The Chicago Sky are one win away from knocking off the WNBA’s No. 1 team and reaching the league finals for the first time in seven years.
The Sky finished sixth in the league with a 16-16 record but made an improbable run to the semifinals with playoff wins over Dallas and third-seeded Minnesota. The Connecticut Sun, winners of 14 consecutive games and with the league’s best record at 26-6, entered the best-of-five series with the Sky as heavy favorites. But the Sky won Game 1 in overtime, dropped Game 2, then scratched out a 3-point win in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
A win at home Wednesday or, if necessary, in a deciding Game 5 Friday in Connecticut would send the Sky to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2014. The WNBA Finals are scheduled to begin Sunday, Oct. 10.

- Friday, Oct. 8 (if necessary): Against the Connecticut Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena, time TBD
