Frost, an Arizona-based gelato shop, recently opened its first Chicagoland location in Highland Park and has been drawing flocks of customers ever since. With more than 30 flavors, ranging from the standards chocolate and strawberry to the more unique flavors Cinnamon Apple Pie and Tangelo, Frost can satisfy even the pickiest sweet tooth. The shop also offers some steaming hot pick-me-ups, including “gelattes,” lattes mixed with decadent gelato. And dieters need not worry: the gelato’s low fat and calorie content makes it a waistline friendly treat that is full of flavor.
